Student Exchange Programme 2017/18

We are delighted to launch an online application system!

For students interested in participating in the Student Exchange Programme 2017/18, please submit your applications online. The application period is:

November 7, 2016 (09:00 a.m.) to December 5, 2016 (11:59 p.m.)

 How to Apply
Follow the steps below to apply for the Programme (for the 1st Semester 2017/18 or 2nd Semester 2017/18 or the full academic year 2017/18)
(i) Come to the information session;
(ii) If you have not already done so, take the TOEFL or IELTS (Academic) test now or before 18 December 2016. Results from tests taken after 18 December 2016 will NOT be considered. (TOEFL or IELTS (Academic) test is not required if all of your choices of destination are in Mainland China and Taiwan);
(iii) To help in making your choices of destination, browse the websites of the available host institutions;
(iv) Discuss with the exchange coordinators at the International Office any questions you may have about the Student Exchange Programme;
(v) Consult the departmental exchange coordinator and academic advisor on the courses that you should take or would fit your study plan;
(vi) Apply online.  The application period is 7 November (09:00 a.m.) to 5 December (11:59 p.m.).
(vii) Follow the steps below:
  • Go to BUniPort
  • Click the menu item "Studies" --> My e-Application, and then expand the "Exchange Programme" folder of the
    "Online e-Application" section --> Click on the "Application for Student Exchange Programme" link, the "Main" page of the online application form will be loaded.
  • Complete the online application form.
  • Upload the following documents:
    - TOEFL or IELTS (Academic) score report OR your TOEFL or IELTS (Academic) test registration confirmation;
    - “Application Form for Scholarships for Student Exchange Programme 2017/18” (doc/pdf) (if eligible);
    - Government Grant/Load approval letter (if applicable).
(viii) Late applications or incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
Once your application is submitted, NO change of destinations AND/OR the duration of exchange period will be allowed.
The International Office will forward your application to your Head of Department/Programme Director for endorsement. Please note that only applications with endorsement (and meeting the eligibility criteria) will be considered for selection.
For Chinese majors applying for departmental exchange programmes only, please consult the Department of Chinese Language & Literature for specific application schedule and procedures.
