About HKBU International
The International Office is responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating strategic initiatives for the internationalisation of the University.
The International Office works closely with academic and administrative units to foster the cultural awareness and the involvement in internationalisation efforts of the University community. It provides a variety of academically and socially enriching activities to enhance international and cross-cultural understanding on campus. These activities include exchange and study abroad opportunities, recruitment of international students and cultural enrichment programmes, e.g. the "Consul-General-in-Residence" Programme.
The International Office also promotes international programmes and partnerships that ensure prominence for global competence. The University holds memberships in a number of distinguished international organisations and is the host institution to the following international organisations/consortia: the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies (LEWI), the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development (IIBD), and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The International Office serves as the first point of contact for organisations outside of Hong Kong as well as a clearing-house for information relating to international activities on campus and elsewhere.
