I'm yummy with grains; come see me in French cuisine!
While we often associate mustard with hot dogs, there are actually diverse types of mustard in the world! One of the most popular mustards is Dijon mustard from France!
Dijon is a province in France, famous for its nice wine. Originally, Dijon mustard was made by adding Dijion wine and balsamic vinegar. Nowadays, Dijion mustard has become a category of mustard, so it is not necessarily made in Dijion or contain wine.
Nevertheless, the unique acidic fragrance of Dijion is preserved. It comes in two versions, with and without grains. The mustard is commonly used for salad dressings, marinating meat, and as a sauce in French dishes.
