I'm a quirky member of candies, but a superstar in Europe!

Just like durian, you either love it or hate it! Liquorice is definitely the quirky member of candies. It is made from the extract of the roots of liquorice plant, and it serves the functions of soothing your stomach and reducing cough. However, its ingredients also give it an uncanny earthy taste!

Oddly enough, many people in Europe love it!! Dutch people can consume an average of 2KG of drop (Dutch liquorice) per person per year. In Finland, the Licorice Festival is held every year, featuring various products in liquorice flavours, such as sparkling water, chocolate and soda. And of course, liquorice itself!
